Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
GridMind is a block puzzle game developed and published by BoGames. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.
1. Data we collect
Game data (stored locally on your device): scores, game progress, rotation budget, extra lives, and settings. This data never leaves your device unless you use Android's automatic backup to Google Drive (controlled by your device settings) or unless it is submitted to our leaderboard system as described below.
Player info (optional): you may choose to enter a nickname, country, region, and city in the Settings screen. This information is entirely optional and stored locally on your device.
Leaderboard data: when you complete a game, your score along with your optional nickname and location information (country, region, city) is submitted to our online leaderboard system hosted on Firebase Realtime Database. This data is associated with an anonymous device identifier — no personal account, email, or real name is required or collected. Leaderboard data is used solely to display world, country, region, and city rankings within the app.
2. Advertising
GridMind uses Google AdMob to display rewarded video advertisements. When you choose to watch a video ad (for example, to earn rotation credits or spin the bonus wheel), AdMob may collect certain data including:
- Device advertising identifier
- IP address
- General device information (model, OS version)
- Ad interaction data
This data is collected and processed by Google according to Google's Privacy Policy.
3. Third-party services
GridMind uses the following third-party services that may collect and process data:
- Google AdMob — for displaying rewarded video advertisements. See Google's Privacy Policy and AdMob data disclosure.
- Firebase Realtime Database (operated by Google) — for storing anonymous leaderboard data (scores, optional nicknames, and location). See Firebase Privacy and Security.
4. GDPR consent (EU users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you will be shown a consent dialog before any personalized advertising data is collected. You may choose to:
- Accept personalized ads — AdMob uses your data to show relevant advertisements
- Decline personalized ads — you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your interests
You can change your consent at any time in the app's Settings.
5. Data we do NOT collect
GridMind does not collect, store, or transmit: your real name, email address, phone number, precise GPS location, contacts, photos, or any other personal data beyond what is described above.
6. Children's privacy
GridMind is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Data storage and security
Game data is stored locally on your device. Leaderboard data (anonymous scores, optional nickname, and location) is stored on Firebase Realtime Database servers operated by Google. If Android Auto Backup is enabled, your local game data may also be backed up to your Google account. No other data is stored on our servers.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Delete your local data — uninstalling the app removes all local data; clearing the Settings fields removes your player info
- Delete your leaderboard data — contact us to request removal of your leaderboard entry
- Withdraw advertising consent — change your preference in Settings at any time
- Request information — contact us to ask what data is associated with your use of the app
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
